We are getting ready to make 50 D.I.Y. SPARKmakers flashlights with the youth attending The BLOC Party on September 27th of 2014 at the Vernon Park (5800 Germantown Ave.) The BLOC Party is the first event of its kind where a coalition of organizations will galvanize the community of returning citizens to partake in a range of activities to unify the efforts and needs of this population.

Our goal for the day will be to show the youth how to design a simple electrical circuit with everyday stuff. We will also have a demonstration of how to assemble two 6-volt solar panels to show off the wonders of the magnificent resource we call RENEWABLE ENERGY.
